Before we get into the "meat" of the second article in this series a little background information and teaching is needed.
Ps 19:1-4 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, (KJV)
Answer for yourself: What are the Heavens "declaring" to mankind? Since the word "declare" in Hebrew also means "rehearse" then was is being "replayed" above our heads? Are we listening? Have we heard? What is the firmament, or the "visible arch in the Sky" saying to mankind? What are the utterances, promises, and commands being spoken to mankind above our heard? What are the "words" being declared above our heads to which all the world are to hear? How can it be that there is no "speech" or "language" which this voice of the Heavens has not been heard when this whole idea seems so strange to us today?
Having declared that the heavens reveal God's glory, the Psalmist informs us that the heavens declare a message in a language that is understood by all peoples. That once was true but no more. Rome made sure of that in the 3rd through 5th centuries. These starry worlds, as such, do show forth His handiwork, but explain little about the glory of God. The "keys" necessary for interpretation of the Stars in the Heavens is lost today except to few who have safeguarded this arcane Spiritual Wisdom down through history and those like myself who happen to stumble upon it in copious study over the years.
Answer for yourself: How then can the stars be made to speak, in a language everyone can understand? Has it really happened in the history of mankind and we are not aware today for some reason? Can I find these "keys" to interpret what God is saying to mankind today?
Answer for yourself: What is this message that the Creator wrote in the Heavens regarding mankind and his Soul's salvation? Is there a message in the movement of the orbs of the Heavens which I have never heard? Is it possible that this message concerns the salvation of the Soul in mankind? With so many religions today and "paths to salvation" by today's world religions could it just be that the true and ORIGINAL SALVATION message to all mankind is written in the stars and I not know it? How do stars speak to us? Let me say as we advance our studies I have along the way shown the abundant evidence of the forgery of religious passages and Scriptures by Christianity along with many of its cardinal doctrines and dogmas over the twenty years to which I have devoted my life to such studies. When all of this is seen to the degree it has happened it saddens the best of us and sickens our hearts that what we are taught today is a jumbled mess of convoluted doctrines and dogmas "created" over the earliest centuries of the emerging Gentile Roman Christian Church. Of great new is that no man has been able to "forge" the Heavens and the stars and therefore the real "salvation message" that the Creator wrote in the Sky as discerned in the movements of the Sun and the orbs of Heaven. This message as been the "same" since Creation; only lacking on our part is the knowledge to discern the "keys" to its interpretation.
The message of the Sun and the Stars concerning mankind and his intended
"salvation" is yet spoken today. It is a simple message given to all
nations since time began but unfortunately a "silent" message that
goes unheard by almost all mankind today since men have not been taught to
"read the Book of God in the Sky". The answer to the above enigma is
quite evident. Pictures speak in all dialects. They speak a universal language,
to all peoples everywhere. Somewhere in the earliest ages of human existence
the visible stars were once named.
Certain ones were arranged into groups by someone thoroughly familiar with the
laws of astronomy. Those names and groupings were at the same time included in
certain figures, natural or imaginary, but intensely symbolic and significant.
The picture above is a mosaic of the Zodiac discovered in the floor of a Jewish
Synagogue. In fact archeology has located a bunch of these in Israel today.
Imagine that; zodiac in the floor of Jewish synagogues. This should make you
mind wonder as to why this was thought so important by Judaism to include it in
the very architecture of their places of study and prayer. Today we know these
grouping of stars as Constellations. Twelve constellations make up the Zodiac.
These major star groupings form a belt which circle the sky close to the plane
of the earth's orbit around the sun. Modern atlases list them in the following
order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius,
Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
It is well known that the ancient races drew charts of these Zodiacal Signs, that ancient astrology was actually the father of astronomy. Astronomers sometimes denounce the Zodiac as unnatural and confusing, yet they have never been able to brush it aside or substitute anything better or more convenient in its place. The Signs of the Zodiac are a part of the common universal language of astronomical science. The Zodiac is found in religious faiths the world over. Astrology is based upon it. The Bible is replete with it. The Companion Bible tells us that all the verbs in the second half of Psalm 19 are of an astronomical nature.
Answer for yourself: Why would that be? What does this possibly indicate? When your studies advance in this area of study you will come to see that the written words of Scripture parallel the words written in the Heavens and which are preserved "message" hidden in the Signs of the Zodiac. But we are not quite ready for that right now but it won't be long.
When we begin to take notice of such things we should being to think that the Ancient Spiritual Masters understood that the Heavens are supposed to speak to mankind, to declare insights, reveal knowledge and that no language even exists that does not contain the voice of the heavens. The Ancient Spiritual Master of Egypt, for example, taught that we, mankind, can have a conversation with the Eternal Being of the Universe through the motions of the heavens. Think on that for a second! The "pattern" for mankind, his birth, life, death, and rebirth is taught by the Zodiac but you have most likely never heard it or saw in in the night sky when you look above in the night sky. But not only that the "pattern" for his spiritual development of his Soul is there as well. Not only on a "literal-physical" level did man learn his fate by living and dying but the Creator's intended "path" and "pattern" for his invisible Souls life-cycle in this physical plane of existence was written above his head in the nigh sky; man is without excuse. The Bible, when understood correctly, speaks clearly about the purpose of the Sun, moon and stars." The Bible begins to declare this message right in the beginning of the book. I open to Genesis 1:14-18.
And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth and to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
In Job, God asked his humble servant a series of questions involving the wondrous miracles performed. In Job 38:31-33, God asks, "Can you bind the sweet influences of the Pleiades or loose the bonds of Orion? Can you bring forth the Mazzaroth in their seasons? Or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Do you know the principles of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?"
Answer for yourself: What is God telling Job?
God is proclaiming that there are principles in the heavens and that they govern life on earth (physical and spiritual). Furthermore, God is responsible for bringing forth the Mazzaroth in their seasons.
Answer for yourself: What is the "Mazzaroth"?
Most Bibles avoid translating this sacred word, Mazzaroth, because it literally means "the twelve signs of the zodiac" in Hebrew. So, God created the zodiac and brings each of the 12 signs or Houses of the Zodiac and their "message" forth in their rightful seasons. This zodiac is like a "book" in the Sky whose pages turn "monthly". The "message of the Zodiac" repeats yearly; thus the "rehearsal" we saw above. The "message of God" is being repeated monthly and yearly since the beginning of time. God goes on to explain to Job that the heavenly constellations, like the Pleiades and Orion, have influences that can be unleashed upon the created order.
We don't have to be afraid of signs from the heavens; especially when we learn that God speaks through these signs of the Zodiac to you and me and to all mankind.
In Jeremiah 10:2 it says, " do not be dismayed by signs from heaven." We need to be open to the realization of messages in the Heavens. The problem is that few of us possess the Ancient "keys" to understand God's "blackboard" in the Sky and the messages He writes upon it and declares to all mankind.
Answer for yourself:What types of messages are we to learn from the Sky? Well, there are many. I could begin with the spiritual message behind the Equinoxes and Solstices, the true salvation message of God hidden in the Biblical Festivals, but that is not our focus right now. Understand that these Equinoxes and Solstices, the seasons mentioned in Genesis above, are the foundation stones for almost all world religions today but our focus is on one in this article. Let me elaborate. We are concerned in these articles with the two births of mankind; in particular the Descent of the Soul, the Christ into matter as the mediator between man and God.
The Hebrew word for "light" used when God says, "The sun, moon and stars were created for giving light on the earth," is "aur". The Hebrew writers were well versed in the sacred language of archetypes. I highly recommend that you stop right now and read the article on "archetypes" and come to fully understand the concept for this is what we are dealing with in the Heavens "speaking to us". The Ancients, familiar with the idea of "archetypes", were able to contemplate Divine Heavenly Truth through symbol as each letter of their alphabet held an archetypal meaning:
Answer for yourself: What is being said here?
Hidden in the letters of Hebrew "light" we discover its deeper meaning, the infinite potential of the sacred Spirit fertilizing creation. Again we see that this teaches us that God humbled himself when He limited and confined Himself to matter through the agency of His Christ:
Phil 2:5-7 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (KJV)
Notice the word "likeness".
Strong's Concordance:
3667 homoioma (hom-oy'-o-mah); from 3666; a form; abstractly, resemblance: KJV-- made like to, likeness, shape, similitude.
In this verse we find the core of all religious truth; that all things consist of God in one way or the other.
Speaking of the "Father God"
Col 1:15-17 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him (God-Father) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (KJV)
All things that exist, visible and invisible are
"manifestations" of God; nothing exists that is not fully God in one
way or the other. The first line of the Bible says, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the
earth." When you break it down into archetypal Hebrew it
means the first fruits of the spirit aspiring to express eternity through a
fountain of divine wisdom were the creation of the celestial dimensions and the
manifest world. Now that casts a whole new light on Biblical translation. The
Hebrew word for astrologer is "ashaph" which breaks
down to the spirit communicates through the sacred flames. This "sacred flame"
(Energy/God), often called a "spark" by the Ancients found a home in
physical matter; in particular as the Soul (Divine
Consciousness) in the flesh of mankind.
Egyptian "Gnosticism", and even
the Jewish Kabbalah teaches that a Divine Spark of Celestial Energy (God) has
fallen into our physical world or matter. This Divine Spark of Cosmic
Intelligent Energy descended the ladder of Heaven into matter. For our purposes
we focus on the Soul and its descent from the invisible realm to the visible
realm in mankind where it is entrapped in matter; ie., the flesh of mankind.
Once birthed in it new home of "flesh" the Ancients the world over
taught that this Soul is now "dead" while the flesh of mankind lives.
Consequently the Soul must be awakened by a divine aspect or counterpart of the
self so that it can be raised and reintegrated with the divine sphere. These
"Divine Sparks" become enmeshed in the lower worlds and within them
is the desire to return to the Infinite God.These "sparks are raised back to God when humanityconforms its behavior to the Divine Laws of
God operating the Cosmos and adheres to the Commandments of
God and when individuals discover the
"roots" of their own Souls. Thus the awesome importance of the
42 Negative Confessions of
Egyptian Religion and the Torah of
Judaism. They are the same and it is from Egypt that Moses
will learn of these mitzvoth given to all mankind by the Creator. Sadly, my
birth religion, Christianity, prides itself on not being under these
"Laws".
Rom 10:4 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (KJV)
Rom 6:14 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (KJV)
Now past this short introduction we continue to look at these "two births" of mankind that is taught in the Heavens and in the Constellations Virgo and Pisces. We continue from the first article in this series in which we saw that the Ancients taught that mankind had two births, a "natural" birth and a "spiritual" birth and that these were taught in the message declared by the Constellations Virgo and Pisces. We saw that the Ancient Spiritual Masters understood that the path of the Sun through the Houses of Virgo and Pisces was speaking and declaring to mankind, as Psalm 19 said, of the necessity of mankind's two births; one natural birth and one Spiritual birth. We saw how this was connected with the idea that man "must be born again"; a birth of "water" (the Water Mother of Virgo) and a birth of "fire" (the "Fish Mother" of Pisces). We saw in the earlier article that the Descent of God into matter was described by the Heavens (the Constellation Virgo) as the natural birth of God (in particlular...mankind) in the watery womb of matter. We saw likewise in the earlier article that God also descended into matter in the form of Heavenly fire. We saw that this was understood by the Ancients as the Descent of the Soul, the Karest/Christ come to tabernacle in the flesh of mankind. We saw that it is this second birth, the spiritual birth of mankind, was declared by the Constellation of Pisces and it is in this "being born again" where we find the awakening of "the Christ" within mankind. This refers to the awakening of Christ Consciousness and the ascent of the Christ Nature in oneself in order that the Christ Consciousness awakened within mankind can operate in through a physical body.
The Ancient Sages taught that this "Divine Spark", in the guise of individual men, is unaware of its true origins, but nevertheless possesses an unconscious desire to return to its divine home. The Divine Spark thereby constitutes the individual's essential but forgotten reality. The Gnostics held that the material, empirical, human being is essentially an illusion that envelops, indeed imprisons, the inner, true self. It is only by acquiring knowledge or "memory" (in the Platonic sense of anamnesis) of this inner self that the Gnostic devotee can free himself from this hostile world and achieve ultimate spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment of his true condition and true salvation. While the Kabbalists held a similar view regarding the "sparks," their Jewish commitment to the world's essential goodness led them to transform the "sparks doctrine" into a vehicle for world-redemption. For the Gnostics, knowledge (gnosis) is not achieved through a purely cognitive procedure. Gnostic knowledge is first and foremost knowledge of the heart; it is an experience of spiritual regeneration, of immediate salvation. It is in essence, the awakening of the long-dormant inner, divine self. Meditation, debate, and reflection are all useful in preparing the intellect, but the intervention of a divine luminous power creating a profound emotional experience is necessary to create the image of the "essential man" which is of the same essence as the divine world. This awakening occurs, according to the Kabbalists, only through a person's attaining a deep, abiding, emotional/spiritual knowledge of his true self, and is achievable only when an "arousal from above" compliments man's own "arousal from below."
What I have just described to you is mankind's necessity of "two births" which the Ancients came to see and understand by looking intently at the movement of God's Sun through the Zodiac. They heard the message of the Heavens. The plan for mankind's salvation was first seen and understood from examining the movement of God's Energy, the Sun, a symbol for God as it moved through God's own Heavens. All religions begin with Astrotheology. Every Bible and Holy Book has its beginning and origin in Astronomy and Astrology. That may shock the reader but grasp the importance of the fact that all theology in the beginning of the human race and its intelligent ascent as a species began by interpreting the Heavens; the abode of God. The stars were understood as speaking to man a "Heavenly Message" as we learned above from Psalm 19. Concerning the Soul in mankind the Ancient Spiritual Sages came to understand that mankind needed to have two births that necessitated 2 mothers and they saw this pictured for them by the Sun being born in Virgo and Pisces as described in the first article. Mankind, aided by the indwelling Christ, the illuminator within, is to have two births and two mothers. This is what the Gnostics taught as well; both Jewish and Gentile Gnostics.
Answer for yourself: Seeing this portrayed in the Heavens and in the Zodiac what should we be thinking might possibly be true?
The Zodiac was mankind's first Bible to teach him about the Descent of the Soul into living mankind and the Divine plan and "pattern" for its Spiritual Maturation in the flesh of mankind. Once the reader comes to see and fully understand this "Heavenly message" then all aberrant world religions and their alternate "salvation messages" are easily seen as nothing more than deviant teachings that have strayed from God true message of mankind's salvation written in the stars. Once this "Divine Message" is both declared and understood from Heaven then we can beat our swords into plowshares and be thankful that there is no longer room for religious bickering, wars, and bloodshed between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam about "who is right". Only God is right and the Heavens have spoken the "same theology" since the beginning of time. Of these 3 religions the "enlightened reader" will come to see that Judaism is the more correct religion of the 3 and it has a lot in common today with its parent religion; that of course being Egyptian Religion. The "path of the Soul" birth into matter, its life and maturation, its release at the body's death, and its rebirth was all transcribed by the Creator in the Sky and the Ancient sages of antiquity came to see this "pattern" in the Sky. It is beyond question that the great ancient design of the zodiac is a wondrously conceived chart aimed to depict the structure of the Logos, "the Christ", the pattern or creative evolution, the essential constitution of the Universe and the course of the current of life in the Cosmos, and by analogy in man the microcosmic replica of the macrocosm.
In short, the round of the zodiac, the famous horoscope of twelve signs, exist above us as a omni-directional, cinema-like, projection of the inherent twelve-fold, plastic matrix that sub-divides that organic computer referred to as the "Collective Consciousness." As the twelve disciples of Jesus represent aspects of his own consciousness, so do the twelve celestial signs of the zodiac, likewise, represent the twelve archetypal facets of our own being.
As we all know science began with the stars, and mankind discovered in them the dominants of the unconscious, the gods, as well as the curious psychological qualities of the Zodiac: a complete projected theory of human character Carl Jung
Almost infinite nuances of significance have been adumbrated in those
twelve signs or houses of the zodiac and the thirty-six other constellations,
as well as in the pictorializations which ancient wisdom and an ingenuity born
of a wise understanding of the deeper truth of life conceived and drew around
those star clusters in the heavens. The uranograph, or chart of the skies, was incontestably the
first of all Bibles, pictorially edited. Not quite simply and
patently, but still most luminously for the initiated who held the hidden
"keys" to the symbolic
lexicon of ancient writing, it can be affirmed that all Bibles are but amplifications and elaborations of the
original volume of ideography that was first written on the open slate of the
sky, then charted in
the zodiac and the planispheres carved on the ceilings
of ancient temples and later transferred to earth and inscribed in scrolls,
tablets and parchments. Commonly known as the Zodiac of
Dendera, the picture is but one example from among many of Egyptian Zodiacs;
the Dendera Zodiac is found on the Temple Roof at Dendera. Man, adjured the old
Scriptures, was to fashion his new body of spiritual glory "after the pattern for his Spiritual
Development as taught from the heavens," the frame of
the heavenly or zodiacal man, the
primal Adam Kadmon. And a cryptic graph of the nature and
history of this celestial Personage was sketched by the enlightened Sages in
the configurated star groups. The Adam Kadmon is the symbol of Primordial Man,
the first being to emerge with the creation of the cosmos is
common to a number of religious and
philosophical traditions. Many Ancient Religions describe this spiritual
concept as the primal man who is composed of the very elements which were to
become the world. This "gigantic divine being" is both infinitely far
and and at the same time deposited near the innermost recesses of the human
heart. Indeed, in many of these Ancient Religious traditions this the
Primordial Man is identified both
with the entire Universe and the Soul or essence of all
things. Simply said mankind requires a "second
birth" as taught by the Constellation Pisces in order that he can obtain
the goal of his earthly carnation; that being his evolution into "the
Christ" incarnated in matter (flesh). We, as human kind are to live out
the stories we read of the nation's Christs and for the Christian the
"Jesus Story " is to be our living experience in this physical realm
in which we temporarily inhabit.
Some more thoughts on the Zodiac are warranted. The word "zodiac" comes from the Greek word "zodion", meaning a small animal zootype, or living symbol of the microcosmic life of man, who is indeed made in the image and likeness of the Divine Man pictured in the cosmic heavens as seen above. Mans little physical body is a miniature copy of the universal body of God; for after all we are made in the "image of this God". It stretches our minds to grasp the concept that the eternal frame of cosmic Man, the goal of our fleshly existence, was outlined in the scroll of the skies, the solar systems and galaxies being symbolic representation of the very living cell clusters in his immeasurable organism. Wow.
Interestingly, a similar image is found in Plutarch who relates that the entirety of the heavens is arranged in the form of a macroanthropos, a colossal human being who is conceived as a model for the human world.
The Primordial Man is also an important symbol in Gnosticism. The Gnostics inferred from the verse in Genesis "Let us make man in our own image" that the first earthly man was created on the model of a cosmic Adam on high. In the Nag Hammadi text, the Apocryphon of John, we learn that this anthropos is the first creation of "knowledge and Perfect Intellect" and the first luminary of the heavens. This Anthropos becomes the heavenly model through which the demiurge forges an earthly Adam (mankind).
In the Kabbalah, the Primordial Man is spoken of as Adam Kadmon, and, in the Lurianic Kabbalah this symbol becomes a pivotal notion linking God, Man, and the World. Adam Kadmon, as the first being to emerge from the infinite Godhead, Ein-sof, is essentially indistinguishable from the deity, yet at the same time his body is said to both emanate and constitute the world. Man, having been created in Gods image, is said by the Kabbalists to be comprised of the very same cosmic elements, the Sefirot, which comprise the "body" of Adam Kadmon. The symbol of Adam Kadmon expresses the idea that the cosmos itself has both a soul and body very much like that of man.
In 1928, Israeli farmers in Beth Alpha, located at the base of Mount
Gilboa in the Valley of Jezreel, were digging an irrigation ditch when they
unearthed a brightly colored mosaic chip. A Hebrew inscription on the piece was
cause for consultation with Professor Eliezer Sukenik of the Hebrew University,
who immediately
ordered an archaeological dig. This led to the
discovery of the remains of a fifth century synagogue's pillars and walls. The
greatest surprise came when they unearthed an almost completely intact zodiac
mosaic floor inside the synagogue. The elegant floor of warmly colored stones
contains an instantly recognizable image of the twelve signs. The Greek Sun god
Helios is the largest image, appearing in the center of the horoscope wheel.
He's crowned and is shown inside his chariot surrounded by stars and a crescent
Moon. Four horses appear with him, and his chariot has multi-colored wheels.
Examples of the twelve zodiac signs with Helios in his sun chariot surrounded
by angels have been discovered in seven ancient synagogues in Israel. This
should make us wonder at what lies at the very heart of Biblical Judaism. We
need only ask Moses.
Moses (c.1200-1100 B.C.), as Pharaoh's adopted son, was also an astrologer. He correlated the attributes of the twelve signs to the twelve tribes of Israel, then took the people from the tabernacle in the wilderness on their pilgrimage, lined up by zodiacal order. Rabbinical tradition asserts that the signs of the zodiac have represented the twelve tribes since antiquity. Sets of twelve from the Bible are obvious candidates for linkage; these include the Hebrew tribes, the twelve Prophets and the twelve Apostles. We see the influence of the Zodiac in Moses' life where he arranged the Israelites around the Ark in their encampment, not only circularly but in sets of three with regard to compass direction. Ancient gods also tend to have existed in sets of twelve and their several personal attributes often find a nice fit in the zodiac.
Answer for yourself: Seeing that the Jews and Judaism connected the Zodiac with their religion as did Ancient Egypt and other nations then is it not evident that these Ancient Spiritual people understood that the Cosmos, the Zodiac, and the Stars had a Spiritual message for mankind? It should would appear so.
Having understood the above introduction to the second article then let us continue to examine Biblical passages in light of this new found knowledge and see just what we can find lurking behind the traditional "literal-historical" interpretation of the New Testament.
Remembering the Constellations Virgo and Pisces (symbolic of mankind's
two births), we find an immediate link between the symbol of bread in connection with both Virgo
and Pisces. Pisces is the house of
the Fishes by name (2 fishes), but it is not commonly
known that Virgo in astrological
symbology was the house of Bread. This is indicated by
several items of ancient typology. Many
centuries ago in the
Precession of the
Equinoxes, the end of the year was marked by the position of the great
Dog-Star Sirius, mighty celestial
symbol of the divinity in man.
Answer for yourself: So what did the helical rising of the Dog-Star Sirius symbolize? It symbolized the increasing of consciousness from one reality or frequency - to another (natural to spiritual). Could we see in this, the helical rising of Sothis, Sirius, in Egypt just prior to the flooding of the Nile the very symbol and image of mankind's "second birth" and "second illumination" of mankind and his Soul? Is Sirius, the herald star of the Nile's annual innudation and the virtual salvation of Egypt a spiritual symbol for mankind's salvation tied to his spiritual awakening of his Soul, and his "second birth"? Is this the same thought as the "the Christ being formed in you" which Paul spoke? Yes. Remember, first comes the "natural" then the "spiritual". God is again speaking from heaven about mankind's salvation.
Unknown to most Christians is the almost endless intimations of vital significance hidden in the Constellations and their configurations that carry with them the esoteric import of the Scriptures we read in our Bibles. Equally unknown to most Christians is the methodology of the archaic science which is in truth the "lost key to the Scriptures". What we find when we study is the fact that Biblical theology rests more completely on Astrological Symbology than has been discerned in any age since the ancient day. Acquisition of these "lost keys" to Scriptural interpretation is necessary if one hopes to arrive at the proper interpretation of the Scriptures they read and in so doing obtain their true meaning. This is crucial when reading the New Testament as it is basically Astrological symbology whereby Divine Metaphysical Truths are personified and presented in anthropomorphic schemes to the reader. Thus we have a gold mine behind our "Jesus Story" and we never know it. Now we have to pay close attention. Precisely at midnight of December 24, the Winter Solstice, Sirius stood on the meridian line from the zenith to Egypt.
Answer for yourself: Why is this important? In and of itself it is not. But watch this.
At the same moment there arose on the eastern horizon the constellation of the Virgin (Virgo), bearing in her left arm the Christ child, symbol of the Christhood coming to function in man, symbolized by the great star Spica (Latin, a head, or "spike" of wheat), symbol of that same divinity coming as celestial food for man. In Virgo the soul and the body are blended and of supreme importance to each other; the mother protects the germ of the Christ life; matter guards, cherishes and nurtures the hidden soul until its awakening in the flesh of mankind (Pisces).
"The choice of this particular date is cosmic in its implications, and not unwittingly, we can be sure, did the wise men of earlier times make these momentous decisions. Annie Besant tells us that: "He (the Christ) is always born spiritually at the winter solstice, after the shortest day in the year, at the midnight of the 24th December when the sign Virgo is rising above the horizon; born as this Sign is rising, he is born always of a virgin, and she remains a virgin after she has given birth to her Sun-child as the celestial Virgo remains unchanged and unsullied when the Sun comes forth from her in the Heavens. Weak, feeble as an infant is he, born when the days are shortest and the nights are longest..." (Annie Besant, Esoteric Christianity, p. 157).
"At the time of the birth of Christ, Sirius, the Star in the East, was on the meridian line, Orion, called "The Three Kings" by oriental astronomers, was in proximity; therefore the constellation Virgo, the Virgin, was rising in the east, and the line of the ecliptic, of the equator and of the horizon all met in that constellation. It is interesting also to note that the brightest and largest star in the constellation Virgo is called Spica; it is to be found in the "ear of corn" (sign of fertility) which the Virgin holds. Bethlehem means the "house of bread," and there is therefore an obvious connection between these two words. This constellation is also composed of three stars in the shape of a cup. This is the true Holy Grail, that which contains the life blood, the repository of the sacred and the holy, and that which conceals divinity. These are astronomical facts. The interpretation of the symbolism attached from ancient days to these constellations is as old as religion itself. Whence came the signs, and how the meanings and symbols associated with them came into being, is lost in the night of time. They have existed in men's minds and thoughts and writings for thousands of years, and are our joint heritage today. The ancient zodiac of Denderah (antedating Christianity by several thousand years) is ample proof of this. In the sun's journey around the zodiac, this "Man of the Heavens" eventually arrives at Pisces; this sign is exactly opposite the sign Virgo, and is the sign of all world Saviors. We have already seen that the age of Christianity is the Piscean Age, and Christ came to the Holy Land when our sun transited into that sign. Therefore that which was started and had its being in Virgo (the birth of the Christ Child) is consummated in Pisces when that Christ Child, having attained maturity, comes forth as the world Savior" (Alice Bailey, Bethlehem to Calvary, p. 64).
Of course Alice Bailey speaks not of a supposed "literal-historical" Jesus Christ in Israel in the first century; rather, she speaks of the awakening of "the Christ" in the whole of mankind whereby the whole human race can assume its rightful position as "saviors" of the world in which we have been born.
"One other astronomical fact is of interest in this connection. Closely associated with the constellation Virgo, and to be found in the same section of the Heavens, are three other constellations, and in these three there is portrayed for us symbolically the story of the Child which shall be born, suffer and die and come again. There is the group of stars called Coma Berenice, the Woman with the Child. There is Centaurus, the Centaur, and Boötes (the shepherd), whose name in the Hebrew language means the "Coming One."
Answer for yourself: What's coming? Could the Constellation Bootes be a picture and symbol indicative of the "coming of the Christ" and his Descent into water mother, the cosmic womb of matter? Could this "change of consciousness" intended for all mankind which has experienced only a "natural birth" as symbolized as we saw in the rising of Sirius and its helical rising at the same time as Virgo connected, all in one message, teaches mankind that "the Christ" is to descend into the water mother, to descend into the womb of matter where he can experience his awakening in the hearts of mankind? Could this be a prophecy fulfilled that lies behind the allegory of the "fish mother" of Pisces? Could the Constellation of Bootes be teaching us that into the womb of the Cosmos, into the water mother Virgo, into the womb of natural birth comes the Sun (personified as the Son/Soul/Christ) which is symbolic of the Energy of the Cosmos (the Divine Spark in mankind)? Is this Energy of the Cosmos understood as the "Divine Spark" in the form of "the Soul/the Christ" who descends into all matter and the flesh of mankind? Is this the Descent of the Soul into the animal kingdom thus separating man from animal due to this higher consciousness? I think it is getting obvious by now.
Answer for yourself: Why a cenatur? What has
a centaur have to do with "the Christ" and his coming? The centaur, ever the symbol of humanity in
the ancient mythologies, reminds that man is an animal, plus a
god, and therefore a human being with dual
natures. We have before us a perfect example of what
happens when "the Christ" descends into matter; the animal in which
"the Christ" descends is endowed with a higher consciousness than the
normal animal kingdom whereby mankind is both "animal" and now
"Divine". Alice Bailey states: "Then He Who shall come looms
over them all, over-shadowing them, pointing to the fulfillment which shall
come through birth and human incarnation. Truly the picture book of the heavens holds eternal truth for
those who have eyes to see and the intuition developed rightly to
interpret. Prophecy
is not confined to the Bible, but has ever been held before men's eyes in the
vault of heaven" (Alice Bailey, From Bethlehem to
Calvary, chapter 2).
Answer for yourself: What is the Constellations and the Stars teaching man in their message to mankind? Have you heard it?
Simply man is born "naturally" needing a "second birth". It is intended for the whole of mankind to travel from Virgo to Pisces. Man is born slightly higher than animals and has an animal nature. The Ancients taught that there is a mineral kingdom, a vegetable kingdom, and an animal kingdom. What separated man from animals is the Descent of the Soul that gives man his intellect. Thus we see that a centaur is a fitting example in the Heavens to teach mankind that although an animal the Descent of the Soul lifts him above the animal kingdom and he is then both "natural" and "Divine".
Let us reexamine Virgo for a second. It must ever be remembered that the Gospels of John states:
John 6:58 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (KJV)
So typology represented "the Christ", seen as Virgo holding "celestial wheat", as coming in the form of the bread from Heaven, the babe Christ, and as food for man in the form of Heavenly wheat. John speaks of the Christ principles being "food" for mankind. Then we see in the Gospels that Jesus broke a loaf into fragments and gave to his disciples, saying that it was his body, broken for them. God feeds the natural man with His Christ and its evolution within the flesh of mankind.
Gal 4:19 19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, (KJV)
Answer for yourself: What did we just see?
We now have Virgo established as the HOUSE of Bread and Pisces as the HOUSE of Fish. But are not done for we are yet missing important information. God is feeding mankind the manna from Heaven through His Christ in us.
Answer for yourself: What is hidden behind the ideas of "Houses" in relation to the Signs of the Zodiac?
They are, as at first, the two states of matter (invisible - undifferentiated potential; visible - realized potential, physical existence) but now we need to notice the immediate reference to the life of man on earth. These "two houses" are in the final stage of the meaning mans body itself, which consists of matter in both its invisible and its visible forms. For man has a natural body (Virgo - natural birth) and a spiritual body (Pisces - spiritual birth). Mans body itself houses the two mothers. The body is this double house of both Bread and of Fish.
And the next parallel is seen when it is considered that this physical body is for the Soul the HOUSE of death and in its regenerative phase, the HOUSE of rebirth. It is the house into which the Spirit descends to its partial obscuration in the darkness of the grave of matter, into the night of death, or incarnation, out of which it is to arise in a new birth or resurrection (second birth, "born again" on the opposite side of the cycle).
Answer for yourself: Why is the Egyptian Bible called "the Book of the Dead"? How can "dead people" read it? Does it not appear to you that people need to read their Bibles while they are "alive"? How could a book whose title read The Coming Forth By Day be at the same time named the Book of the Dead?
Something is amiss here.
Yet the book dealt mainly with the great trial of the soul of the deceased in
the Hall of Judgment, the Hall of Osiris; and Osiris was the Lord of Amenta,
the realm of the dead, the dark underworld. Osiris was the king of "those
in their graves". The Book of the Dead is a book about the typical
Christian judgment, enacted in the world of Souls following the
demise of the body. Yet its original title was The Day of Manifestation.
One knew that the Greeks had derived most of their profoundest conceptions from
the Egyptians. One has to wonder if the figurative use of the word
"death" in the title Book of the Dead is based on some hidden
meaning found in the pages of the Book of the Dead. It is.
Answer for yourself: Could it be possible that all mediaeval and modern scholarship had missed the fundamental meaning of the word "death" as used in Scriptures by failure to catch some hidden Ancient symbolism? What an understatement. Could it be that some mighty truth lurked undiscovered under the metaphor of the word "death"?
What we find upon our studies is that Christianity has totally misunderstood their Scriptures and led untold billions astray from Divine Truth. Not only has Christianity totally misunderstood its own Christ, atonement, Law, the salvation message of God but almost unbelievably Christianity has lost the "keys" necessary to correctly interpret the word "death" as it applies to the Soul in their own Scriptures. With overwhelming certainty had come the perception that when the ancient writers of sacred books of religion spoke of "death" they referred to our present life on earth in these bodies of flesh! When the Soul descended into matter it was said to "have died". This is the often mistunderstood doctrine of the "crucifixion of Christ"; not on a old rugged tree but in dense matter. And when these Ancient Spiritual Masters spoke of "the dead", they again referred to us, here and now, alive as we seem to be!
Eph 5:14 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. (KJV)
Obviously those to whom Paul was speaking were alive. There we have our answer right before us all the time. And by the terms grave, tomb, coffin, sepulchre, mummy-case, out of which we would be resurrected they meant these living bodies of ours! In the Ancient Divine Wisdom and theology, "to die" was for the Soul to incarnate in bodies on earth. If you take a second to reflect it can be found that the two words "womb" and "tomb" are from the same stem and convey the same connotation. Baptism in water is likened to a "new birth" because we enter into a "watery tomb" where human life, in the natural sense, cannot survive. He who enters life by way of the womb has entered the tomb of living death. In the eye of the Ancient Spiritual sages, death was to live the kind of life in the flesh that we are living here. In reality, as calm reflection then for the first time clearly indicated, for the soul there is no such thing as death, in the sense of total destruction, for the soul is indestructible. For if death could be at any time only a matter of relative intensity or degree of life, and this would be dependent upon the character and materiality of the embodiment in which it might find itself functioning at different stages of its growth. And one saw then that our life here fitly deserved the designation of death because it was the most sluggish, inert and restricted sphere of existence in which the Soul was ever called upon to become embodied and imprisoned. This type of life was the profoundest "death" the Soul was ever subjected to, as an individual entity! It could go no lower, be restricted no more completely, than it was here in the flesh of mankind. It should come to you as an astonishing realization in this connection, that we could never be any more "dead" than we are now in our mortal habitat. We are truly in the very jaws of "death", in the "valley of the shadow of death", and we are therefore the "dead" of all the ancient philosophical books. Thus the Egyptian Bible was commonly called "the Book of the Dead" as it prepared living Souls for their release from this body of death.
Answer for yourself: Is it possible that all religions have been designed as instruction and guidance for "those in their graves" of earth-life, and all its sacred books were meant to be a light for us, "the dead", in the dark underworld of Hades, Sheol, Amenta (which refers to the arena we live while alive in the flesh)? But long ago was lost the knowledge that such instruction was for us, that we were "the dead" for whom all religious systems were devised, and for whose resurrection out of the tomb of the physical body the whole end and aim of religion was conceived.
Answer for yourself: Since Christianity has mistakenly interpreted the word "death" then does this mean that Christianity's teaching of a physical bodily resurrection is incorrect as well? Yes.
The first consequence of such a tragic rejection of Ancient Egyptian Religion and Ancient Spiritual Wisdom connected to the true meaning of the word "death" as used in Ancient Spiritual writings and teachings for thousands of years is the certainty that the often mentioned "resurrection" in the New Testament could not signify the mere raising of decaying physical bodies from cemeteries!
Answer for yourself: What then is the resurrection to which we should look?
The "true resurrection" refers to the re-arising of the buried Soul from out its physical prison, its rending at last of the fleshly veil of the temple, its bursting the bars of death in the body, which was the only grave, sepulchre, tomb or sarcophagus that the wise Ancients ever had in view in the proclamation of their great Easter message!
Answer for yourself: What should we see here? The undeniable fact that the whole framework of Divine, Religious Revelation given to mankind by the Creator, spoken from the Heavens above by the Sun, stars, and Constellations, the abode of God, from the beginning of mankind's existence is to be constructed of spiritual, not of historical or "literal-physical" interpretation as Christianity has done with its "literalization" of "the Christ". This "re-arising" of the Soul is prefigured in its "awakening" while imprisoned in this body of death whereby it can then exert its Heavenly influence to sanctify the animal nature of our bodies. This is the purpose of "the Christ" and His "Descent into matter, the flesh of mankind". Such awakening is prophetic of the final awakening of the Soul and its release from "the dead"; its entrapment in the flesh of mankind.
The Gospel narrative was, as taught from the beginning of time and as seen in the Sky and the Heavens, nothing more than a series of Spiritual Allegories taken from the personification of the path of the Sun through the Houses of the Zodiac as Spiritual sages followed and interpreted the path of the Sun (symbolic for the Intelligent Energy of the Universe we call God). This path of the Sun, the symbol for God, as it moves through the Heavens, when interpreted correctly, is to be indicative of a mystical understanding of the synonymous path, "pattern", and direction for the Soul's maturation and development while it resides in this "matter/body of death"! The Sun and the Cosmos was designed by the Creator to teach mankind of his Soul and in so doing depicts the nature of our own personal soul-life, the history of everymans experience in the world of flesh and matter, or what just so happens to be the "realm of the dead". Not a single item of Ancient Philosophy, Ancient Spiritual Wisdom, not a statement anywhere in Ancient Scriptures or Texts, controverts this conclusion in the least degree; whereas every new bit of testimony fortified verifies this Metaphysical truth and its undeniably. This is the hidden revelation that Rome stole from the world for within it is the intended righteous conduct of the Soul and the sanctification of the temple of the Soul, the fleshy body. Rome lived by a philosophy that is contradicted by the very Sun they worshipped; that is "might makes right". The message of the stars refutes this and in light of such Ancient Wisdom those who possess it can stand the assault of any theologian or scholar who tries to challenge or refute it. This understanding of "the Soul" and the path for its spiritual maturation existed in the world until the rise of the Mighty Roman Empire in the 3rd through the 5th century. After burning down the libraries of the world and murdering millions of people who trusted in this spiritual knowledge given mankind in the beginning of its existence the earth was plunged into darkness the depths of which is yet felt today.
A significant passage from the Book of the Dead recites: "Who cometh forth from the dusk, and whose birth is in the house of death"--referring to the incarnating Soul. In a spiritual sense the soul "dies" on entering the body in incarnation, but has a new birth in it as it later awakens "spiritually" and even later "resurrects" from the body at its demise. The body is therefore the house of the Soul's death and rebirth, or the place of the Soul's/Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. This is not "literal" unless you experience it in your life because God never intended it to be limited to only one person as Rome would have us believe. And the Egyptians had a name for the body as the point of these transformations, which carry the central meaning of all theologies. This name now rises out of the dim mists of ancient Egyptian books to enlighten all modern Bible comprehension. This city of the body, where the sun of soul sank to its death on the cross of matter, to re-arise in a new birth, was called the city of the sun, or in Greek, Heliopolis, but in the Egyptian, ANU.
There is a world of revelation behind the Egyptian word "ANU" that we save for the last article in this series.
