THE ANNUNCIATION, CONCEPTION, ADORATION, AND BIRTH OF HORUS: WAS THIS THE PROTOTYPE FOR JESUS?

If one does the necessary study and reads the right sources then beyond any doubt he sees that much of the Christian History was pre-extant as Egyptian Mythology. The Origin of the transcendental themes of Christianity reach far into Ancient Egyptian antiquity. In the New Testament Book of Matthew 1:20:23, the story of the Annunciation, Conception, Birth, and Adoration of the child, Jesus, is presented. It tells how the "angel of the Lord" appeared to Joseph, informing him that his wife Mary is pregnant by the Holy Spirit of God. We are taught to believe this about a supposed historical person from our very childhoods and this is read and repeated in millions of homes in typical readings at Christmas where we read also the Lukan account of the birth of baby Jesus. But all of this is not new at all; in fact the "same story" identically predates the supposed Jesus of the first century by thousands and thousands of years. Little did we know that the supposed unique and Divine Revelation about baby Jesus lies carved on thousand year old walls of stone in the Holy of Holies of the Temple of Luxor that can be dated as far back as 5,5000 years B.C.E. or earlier.

Answer for yourself: Why has this not been public knowledge and is only now begun to be taught and revealed to interested readers and students of Biblical history? Well the main reason is that it has only been in the last two hundred years that we have been able to rediscover how to read the Egyptian hieroglyphics which was prompted by the discovery of the Rosetta Stone. It is recovering the dead language of Egypt that we can now correctly read the Pyramid texts and Coffin texts and discover the unbelievable similarities to our "Jesus Story" and all the other later stories of the nation's Sungods (personifications of the Divine Energy of the Cosmos whom we call God who became matter [flesh of mankind]).

The answer to the above question is not too difficult to comprehend. The facts concerning the "Jesus Story" being patterned after the Horus of Egypt like other foundations, have been buried out of sight for thousands of years in a hieroglyphical language, that was never really read by Greeks or Romans, and could not be read until the lost clue was discovered by Champollion, almost the other day! Champollion was a French Egyptologist, who is acknowledged as the father of modern Egyptology. He achieved many things during his short career, but he is best known for his work on the Rosetta Stone. It was his deciphering of the hieroglyphics contained on the Stone that laid the foundations for Egyptian archaeology. Hidden for a thousand years in the lost language of Egypt and their hieroglyphics is to be found the exact replica of the later Roman "Jesus Story". This is almost too incredible to believe until you examine the results for yourself and if you do then you see that the "logia" or the "sayings of the Christ" can be found in the rituals contained in the Egyptian Book of the Dead as uttered by Horus as well as others. This information has laid beyond the knowledge of moderns until the efforts of Champollion and his work on the Rosetta Stone in the latter 1820s. Provided for the interested reader is the necessary link to examine the history for himself to see how the earlier "Horus/Jesus Stories" were lost to the world for thousands of years but now resurrected with the restoration of Egyptian hieroglyphics through the efforts of Champollion.

This loss of ability to decipher Egyptian Hieroglyphics is the reason why the original sources of our Mytholatry and Christology remained as hidden as they have; that is until the century in which we live. The mystical matter enshrouded in this language was sacredly entrusted to the keeping of the buried dead, who have faithfully preserved it as their Book of Life, which was placed beneath their pillows, or clasped to their bosoms, in their coffins and their tombs.

As Christians we all fell into the same pit of ignorance. We all were taught to accept the Canonical Gospels as containing an assumed undoubted human history, and we assumed, as others taught us to do, that the assumed history on the pages of our New Testament proved itself. Everything goes well with such an approach until one decides to study the origin of the Christian Faith and do so in a scholarly fashion.

The first thing we encounter in such study is the fact that a Jesus, or Jehoshua Ben-Pandira, was an historical character, known to the Talmud. The only problem with this is that this historical character, Jehoshua Ben-Pandira is found in history 100 years too early for the assumed New Testament Jesus. Without such study we all make the same mistake; namely, approaching the New Testament supposing that this New Testament and its record of a Jesus, the events surrounding his life and his sayings proved the personal existence of this Jesus as found portrayed in the Canonical Gospels.

The hardest thing in my life as an Ordained Pastor was to study to the point where I found that this depiction of Jesus in the New Testament was a fraud. After dedicated and sustained serious study of the origins of Christianity one is hard pressed to believe this account of an assumed historical when confronted with the records of Egyptian history and religion as you are about to see for yourself.

THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF THE EGYPTIAN MESSIAH...HORUS & THE PATTERN FOR THE LATER JESUS STORY

The mythical Messiah was always born of a Virgin Mother. It finds its ultimate expression from the constellation Virgo. Understand that most all of the Ancient "saviors" had virgin-births.

Answer for yourself: Why was a virgin birth necessary in the instance of Horus? Simply because his father, Osiris, had been murdered by his brother (the Cain and Able story). If you are familiar with the Osiris Myth then you would already know this but if not I suggest that you become very familiar with this story as it is the undergirding tale that lies behind the "Jesus Story" from beginning to end. You will find upon study that the Jewish race was heavily influenced by both Egypt and Babylon and many of their "religious myths" become incorporated in their religious heritage and find expression in the Tanakh.

Answer for yourself: Why is the constellation Virgo connected with all this virgin birth stuff? Well you have to know a little astronomy to understand the role of Virgo in the mind of the Ancients (http://jesusastrotheology.netfirms.com). If you take the time to get into such stellar astronomy and religion then you will see that most religious stories found in the Christian New Testament come from the personification of the movement of the orbs in the Heavens. I was blown away by such revelations the more I studied this topic when reading books from such men like:

This information was so overwhelming and earth-shattering that it answered for me any and all questions that remained unanswered concerning the possibility for a historical Jesus that lingered after yeas of advanced study. This of course, a virgin birth, is an event unknown to the medical profession as well as being opposed to all natural phenomena observed in the operation of the laws of nature given to us by the Creator. Therefore such an event as a possible virgin birth to a "thinking believer" should be first of all suspect and understood as an impossible historical event and one should be aware that such an event, as recorded in almost every ancient religion is one that can only be explained by means of a Mythos which incidentally can be found preserved in numerous Ancient theologies long before the birth of Christianity. This astronomical phenomena is replayed over and over down through history since all nations saw the same constellations in the night sky and with trade, travel, and military conquest these myths of the constellations and the path of the Sun moved around the globe given enough time.

Answer for yourself: Are you aware that the "Virgin Mother" was represented in Egypt by the maiden Queen, Mut-em-ua, the future mother of Amenhept III some 16 centuries B.C.? Truly there is nothing new under the Sun and one only has to undertake a serious study of Egypt and Egyptian religion to find the "Jesus Story" and the "Logia" (the sayings of the Lord) which we find later reproduced in the New Testament as put into the mouth of the later "messiah" of Rome's invention.

Answer for yourself: Have you ever heard of the Temple of Luxor? The Luxor area of Upper Egypt was the{short description of image} Thebes of the ancient Egyptians - the capital of Egypt during the Middle and New Kingdoms. Today it is famous for its temples and the nearby Valley of the Kings.

Answer for yourself: Are you aware that on the walls of the Temple of Luxor we find carved in stone what appears to be the "first" nativity from which all others are patterned?

THE EGYPTIAN NATIVITY

Of great interest to us in this article are four consecutive scenes reproduced in Temple which are found portrayed upon the innermost walls of the Holy of Holies in the Temple of Luxor, which was built by Amenhept III, a Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. Below is the depiction taken from the wall of this Temple of Luxor. It is important for our study to examine this depiction of events on the wall of the Temple of Luxor very closely so we will refer to this picture in the following article repeatedly.

{short description of image}

What appears to be a meaningless depiction of scattered events is pregnant with meaning (excuse the word play).

The Legend of Osiris is one of Egypt's most Ancient literature myths. So old, it's origins have been lost in time. It was an important story to the Egyptians because of Osiris' role as the king who is resurrected as the "King of the dead". A king that every Egyptian, from the mightiest pharaoh to the lowliest peasant, hoped to join in the afterlife. Other important themes that we find in the story are; the trials of Isis in which she is idolized as a dutiful wife and protective mother. And the revenge of Horus against his evil uncle Seth who killed his father Osiris, which is a powerful struggle of good verses evil. In an effort to avoid confusion you should be aware that there are two forms of the god Horus in this story, first we find him as the brother of Osiris, then later we find him called Harpocrates or Horus his infant son.

It may be worth noting that in all the vast amount of text that we have from the ancient Egyptians, we find no complete version of this tale. We find only pieces, references and additions to it. One of the most important versions of the story comes to us from a Greek writer named, Plutarch, who lived in the first century A.D.

We find the Legend of Osiris literally portrayed on the walls of the Holy of Holies of the Temple of Luxor. Unknown to the reader of this article at this time is that the Legend of Osiris and his son Horus is the very same story of the birth of the Jesus as depicted in the New Testament thousands of years later.

We find that the "Gospel Story" was written on the walls of this Temple of Luxor (Thebes) thousands of years before the assumed Jesus of history. The story of the divine Annunciation, the miraculous Conception (or Incarnation), the Birth, and the Adoration of the Messianic Child (originally Horus), had already been engraved in hieroglyphics and represented in 4 consecutive scenes upon the innermost walls of the holy of holies in the Temple of Luxor which was built by Amenhept III, a Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, long before there was any concept of Jesus existing in the first century A.D. In these scenes the maiden queen Mut-em-ua, the mother of Amenhept III, her future child, impersonates this "virgin-mother" (originally Isis) who was miraculously impregnated following the death of her husband Osiris and consequently bore a child without sexual intercourse since her husband had been murdered by his evil brother (see the Osiris Myth).

Let us look at the above picture once more as we describe the scenes for the reader.

{short description of image}

Annunciation: The first scene on the left hand shows the God Taht (Thoth) [the New Testament Gabriel] the Lunar Mercury, the Annunciator of the Gods, in the act of hailing the Virgin Queen, Mut-em-ua, [Mary] and announcing to her that she is to give birth to the coming Son (Amenhotep III in the character of Horus, the divine child [prototype for the later Jesus]. Originally the story finds its first telling when the god Thoth announces to a virgin, Isis, the impending birth of her son, Horus.

In the first scene at left, the neteru Thoth, god, messenger of the Almighty God, the transmitter of the logos (word) of God, is depicted in the act of announcing to queen Met-em-Ua (who has assumed the role of Isis that she will give birth to a child who will be righteous and a divine heir (this is the baby Horus - prototype). Now like Isis who conceived after Osiris was dead and gone Met-em-Ua is virginous which is depicted by her slim belly. This will be a virgin birth in the pattern of Isis.

Luke 1:26-33 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (KJV)

Immaculate Conception: In the next scene the god Kneph (the Egyptian Holy Ghost) and the goddess Hathor hold crosses, the Egyptian Ankh as a sign of life, originally to the head and nostrils of Isis and mystically impregnate her. Of course this myth is retold later in the account of Queen Mut-em-ua, the future mother of Amenhept III. Kneph ("the Egyptian Holy Spirit") descends and assisted by Hathor, impregnates the virgin [the New Testament Mary] by holding the "ankh", symbol of life, to her head, mouth, nostrils. Notice if you will that her belly is now swollen and enlarged with the life from God. In this scene the virgin is pictured as becoming pregnant (conceiving) through the Spirit.

Gen 2:7 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (KJV)

Luke 1:31-35 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (KJV)

Answer for yourself: Are you aware that Pharaohs were called "Sons of God"?

The "ankh" is the Egyptian cross having a loop for its upper vertical arm. The Ankh, known in Latin as a crux ansata ("handle-shaped cross"), is the Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for "life". Kneph is the form of the Holy Ghost or Spirit that causes the Immaculate Conception, Kneph being the "spirit" by name in Egyptian. Impregnation and conception are made apparent in the virgin's fuller form (see the picture). The natural effects of this "miracle conception" are made apparent in the virgin's swelling form (just look at her abdomen in the 2nd depiction on the 'left' of the mural).

The Birth Of The Child God: In the next scene on the far right we see the mother is seated on the midwife's stool, and the child is supported and lifted up by the hands of one of the nurses. Originally, the mother, Isis, sits on a midwife's stool, and the newly born infant, Horus, is held by attendants. With the development of the mythos we find that next the mother, Queen Mut-em-ua, the future mother of Amenhept III, the Biblical Solomon, is seated on the mid-wife's stool, and the newborn child is supported in the hands of one of the nurses. Later this same story is told only the names of the virgin mother has been altered [Mary] as well as the name of the child god [Jesus instead of Horus].

Luke 2:4-7 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. (KJV)

Adoration: The fourth scene is that of the Adoration. Here the child is enthroned and adored by Amun, the hidden Holy Spirit behind all creation, and three men behind him (Amun) who offer and gifts with the right hand (open facing up) and eternal life with the left hands (holding again Ankhs/crosses). So we find the pattern for the later 3 gifts and 3 wise men that are depicted first thousands of years earlier on stone wall in the Temple of Luxor. These 3 figures are kneeling and offering gifts with the right hand and life (ankh cross) with the left hand.

Originally the infant Horus receives homage from gods and Three Kings, the Magi, who offer him gifts. In a re-adaptation of the earlier myth we find here the child of Queen Mut-em-ua is enthroned, receiving homage from the Gods and gifts from men as well. As children growing up in the mainly Christian Western Hemisphere we heard this same story over and over never suspecting that it is but a retelling of the Osiris Myth. Never did we know that when we heard of the birth of Jesus and read the birth narratives with our families at Christmas time that we were reading the same story told for over 10,000 years. Never did we suspect that as these men who worshipped Jesus in the New Testament account were but a re-adaptation of those who originally worshipped Horus. All along we had a re-adaptation of these 3 wise men who found baby Horus; in our case the name was changed: Horus became Jesus and Mut-em-ua became Mary. These same 3 wise men worshipped Jesus (the New Testament Horus), and offered gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. But lets look deeper. In the depiction of this miraculous birth on the walls of the Temple of Luxor Isis has been replaced by Queen Mut-em-ua [later to be replaced by Mary]. Behind the deity Kneph, on the right, three spirits, the Three Magi, or Kings of the Legend, are kneeling and offering presents with their right hand, and life with their left. The child thus announced, incarnated, born, and worshipped, was the Pharaonic representative of the Aten Sun in Egypt, the God Adon of Syria, and Hebrew Adonai; the child-Christ of the Aten Cult; the miraculous conception of the ever-virgin mother, personated by Mut-em-ua, as mother of the "only one," and representative of the divine mother of the youthful Sun-God.

Luke 2:8-20 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. (KJV)

Matt 2:1-2 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. (KJV)

These scenes, which were mythical in Egypt, have been copied or reproduced as historical in the Canonical Gospels. In this [set of engravings] we have the Annunciation, the Conception, the Birth, and [the] Adoration as described in the first and second chapter of Luke's Gospel. John G. Jackson, in Christianity Before Christ [American Atheist Press, PO Box 2117, Austin, TX 78768-2117, 1985, pp. 43-46.], cites Gerald Massey in Ancient Egypt: Light of the World, Vol. II, p. 757 [London, T. Fisher Unwin, 1907], as providing this information concerning the mythical elements of an annunciation, an immaculate conception, a virgin birth, and an adoration as presented as consecutive engravings on the inner walls of Temple of Luxor, in Luxor, Egypt, from the time of King Amenhotep III (1538-1501 B.C.). These books are must reads in my opinion if you want to see these things in more detail let alone follow the story of the evolving Horus-Jesus in the New Testament. On my websites I devote considerable space to this very important myth for behind it all again one finds astronomical origins for such a myth.

It needs to be said that critics should remember that the scenes described are literally carved in stone on the walls of the Temple at Luxor and stand as an original source of mythical elements of the Horus myth let alone the source for the later "Jesus birth myth".

John G. Jackson, in Christianity Before Christ, p. 109, states that the resurrection of Osiris is depicted by bas-reliefs (stone carvings on the a wall or a side of an altar, a statue, etc.) of the walls of a Temple of Osiris at Denderah, Egypt, in which Osiris is presented (1) as a mummy on his bier, (2) he arises, and (3) stands erect, with Isis standing behind him, and a male figure hold a crux ansata, an Egyptian symbol of life. Jackson also states that another Osiris resurrection is depicted at the Temple of Isis in Philae, Egypt, upon which is this inscription: "This is the form of him whom one may not name, Osiris of the Mysteries (myths), who springs from the returning waters." Again, critics should remember that the Osiris myth resurrection scenes described are literally carved in stone on the walls of the Temple of Osiris at Denderah and the Temple of Isis at Philae and stand as original sources of mythical elements of the Osiris myth. We herein have an ancient Egyptian mythical element of a death and resurrection and a parallel to the death and resurrection mythical element in the "Jesus Story".

Answer for yourself: Is the "Jesus Story" as we have inherited it not a historical reality? Well that is for you to decide based on evidences like these presented in this article. The sole pursuit of such study is to come to the truth of such matters surrounding the New Testament Jesus in hopes that our worship of the Creator be not tainted with idolatry but offered solely to the Creator grounded in truth. I have found that the study of Egypt will give you the answers to these most difficult questions that surround the truth concerning the New Testament Jesus.

Answer for yourself: What should you expect to find if you began a serious study of Egyptian Religion?

You will find, as I have, that all of the material of both Christian and Hebrew theological systems has emanated from Ancient Egypt's crypts of secret wisdom! You will find as well that the Gospel's "life" of Jesus turns our to be nothing but the garbled and fragmentary copy of an Egyptian prototype who never lived as a human being, but was a purely typal dramatic figure, portraying the "Soul" or the "Divinity in man" which was expressed through the literary vehicle of myth, personification, allegory, simile, and typology. With this one revelation of lost truth which is easily recovered today and proven by facts and hard evidence that exists in Egyptian religion the structure of historical Christianity topples to the ground. It must be replaced by a purely spiritual Christianity where mankind focuses once again as did the Ancients before the 3rd century and the rule of Rome on cultivation of the god within man (the Christ) and no longer looks to the sky for the return of a "non-historical" entity.

In closing let it be said that this set of scenes attests to the deeper significance of the virgin birth mystery. Every mother is a goddess and every child is a product or mixture of Creation or physical nature and the spirit of God. Through this metaphor, we are to understand that each human being has a Divine Origin, heritage and birthright. Therefore it is clear to see the meaning of the Christian statements: "I and my Father are one". "Jesus answered them, 'It it not written in your law that ye are gods?'", from John 10:30 and 34 respectively. This is not the story of some supposed historical person to which unforged evidence is not in existence, rather it is your story and my story and the potential we have to life as the Divine in this mortal body no longer ruled by our animal natures but by the Spirit of God; such is our gift if we awaken to our true identity as living Souls.
